Involuntary Sacrifice: Understanding Secondary Workplace Abuse

If your employer gaslighted and scapegoated you for being a target of workplace abuse, take heart: you’re not alone. According to a preliminary survey, up to 95% of targets also experience secondary workplace abuse.

Few things are more confusing, disturbing, or destructive than secondary workplace abuse. Ironically, it’s the most misunderstood factor of workplace abuse, leaving most victims without the closure they need to move forward.

As with most things in life, the reality of secondary workplace abuse is far more complex than it appears on the surface.

Your instructor, Chris Edward Jensen, is a survivor of catastrophic primary and secondary workplace abuse, and the principal at Workplace Omega. After spending a year drilling down on these topics, he has some real treasures to share, including answers to these questions (and more):

  • What causes secondary workplace abuse?
  • Why is it commonly misunderstood?
  • Secondary workplace abuse is terrible to experience. But is it personal?
  • Is there anything a target can do once the scapegoating starts?
  • Is there anything an employer can do about it?
  • How can targets who experienced secondary workplace abuse recover?

All survivors, advocates, HR professionals, executives, and trauma-informed therapists are encouraged to attend. Join this one-hour live stream for a challenging discussion that dives past the surface and provides you with the understanding and the perspective you need to find closure.
